On a personal note, in early 2016 I had made a physical goal of running a 1:45 half marathon. I realized that my 21 mile Big Sur training back in April had led me to chill out and slow down with my long distance runs.As I was putting together my spreadsheet for training for the November Berkeley Half – I wondered to myself – how am I to run a 8 minute half marathon distance? Where is this desire coming from and is this a goal that I still want to achieve? I would rather sustain a healthy love for running rather than being repulsed by the thought of it. I am still undecided. I have until the beginning of August to begin a 4 month half marathon training.
Training for a marathon or half marathon has correlations to working in real estate. I have to reflect and get conscious about where my goals are. I have to make sure I am not burned out. I do feel that I am continually growing and want to take necessary moments of rest if I want it to be a long career.
On a more positive note, Phil and I booked a two week flight to Japan. We are ready for adventure and renewal in a very slow real estate season.
