Monthly Picks: 2 Pasta Dishes & 2 Nautical Bars

Belotti Ristorante E Bottega
Belotti Ristorante E Bottega is newish restaurant in Rockridge – I went there on Thursday afternoon with my friend/fellow realtor – Glennie. Handmade pasta dishes average about $15ish a dish with sizable portions. Thank you Dominic for the recommendation – alas I’ve found my handmade pasta spot.Tagliatelle (top left)
Ahh — hearty Tagliatelle with Grappa Savignoise marinated wild board sugo — topped with Pecorino.Casoncelli (top right)
stuffed handmade pasta goodness
inside:beef and prosciutto+pork shoulder
outside: smoked pancetta with a sage brown butter

The Port Bar (bottom left)
I had a chance to catch up with my dear friend/client Travis at the Port Bar. Port Bar is a new gay bar located in the heart of Oakland next to the Paramount Theater on Broadway. The atmosphere was lively even a afternoon. The interior is finished with shipping containers to remind us of Oakland Port.

Forbidden Island (bottom right)
The most Yelped establishment in Alameda just so happens to be in my hood.  I enjoy drinking beers here while enjoying the kitschy vibe with mid-century nostalgia and on occasion drink their banana mama cows!
