Mel's Favorite Things: Redwood Regional Park
Opened in 1939, the Redwood Regional Park is comprised of 1830 acres made of 36 miles of hiking and biking. with many preserved redwoods -
There are many entry points to this park (there are 9 parking zones).
Certainly my favorite part of the park is the stream trail pictured above. This almost 3 mile trail gives you a chance to be in a cool in a canopy of tall Redwoods. You can map yourself to the "skyline gate staging area" if you want to jump right to it and avoid additional hiking.
