The Changing Landscape of Uptown Oakland: Burgers Trading For Offices, Sort Of

The Oakland Uptown landscape is continuing to evolve with subtractions and additions. A new project called "Eastline" has been in the works. "Eastline" had been approved by Oakland's planning and zoning department and is in the planning phases and encompass one of two proposals: office spaces or office/work live spaces.

This will involve taking taking the place of 1960s SpaceBurger structure, a parking garage, and 3 buildings on Broadway (21st/22nd St & Telegraph/Broadway). The plans are still waiting for Oakland City Council approval.
